I stand here feeling pretty good about the players we’ve put together in very short order and play at a high level in the SEC but the fact of the matter is we gotta figure out who those guys are. We’re gonna go through camp and have to make some tough decisions.”

For what it’s worth, the final o-line combination waking out of the first practice saw Nussmeier with Bradford at right tackle, Frazier at right guard, Charles Turner at center, Tre’Mond Shorts at left guard and Will Campbell at left tackle. Needless to say this is a group still figuring out a lot of scenarios and it’s good the team is preparing for a potentially heavy rotation of linemen throughout the season.

“I think it’s important there’s some flexibility here for the first two, two and a half weeks and we’ll build the starting five,” Kelly said. “Finding the rotation where your tackle is solidified, the center position and then we’ve got some good depth building but I think it’s gonna take a little while for it to pan out.”
