All that theatrics doesn't win games. Get on sideline and talk to coaches in press box. Players do not have correct mindset.

Kelly out coached as usual.

I actually felt sorry for him during the game -

trying to blame it all on Nuss made me want him out of here.

So Kelly handcuffs his qb then says how wonderful the other qb is against His defense. Kelly made sure LSU did not cover. Prove me wrong.

BK fricked this game away no doubt, but if you want to know what your HC actually said, listen to the presser not these clickbait assholes.

Our QB was just fine....besides....he wasn't responsible for the other team going the length of the field in less than two minutes and scoring the winning TD....

No, his bad defense made Parker look better than he is. We'll see how good USC is as the season goes, but to me this is another team LSU made them look better than they really are just like FSU last year. USC has gotten a huge boost of confidence because they beat mighty LSU in their minds. But watch the Pac 10 or Big 10, wherever they are playing this year, watch those teams start spanking their asses and bring them back down to earth.

I don’t love the quote, but maybe this will put a fire under Nuss and destroy Nicholls this upcoming week

Just look at the numbers and the score. He did outplay Nuss. That is not a knock on Nuss, Nuss did panic too early several times and checked down for three yard completions when he could have bought time. My biggest problem is that the coaching staff has so throttled him he has lost his most dangerous part of his game. They obviously told him to "play within yourself....bla blah blah..." Only once do I remember him throwing a deep ball. That is a function of play calling as well as him being hesitant to do what he has done successfully every game he has played.

God I hope Nuss transfers to a better school.
I was surprised he didn’t transfer after last year. Nuss really loves LSU. I don’t think BK ever liked the idea of Nuss being his starting QB. Kelly is in love with mobile QBs.

Maybe, possibly because USC staff put their guy in better situations to make plays. ??

Brian Kelly does not want Nuss as the starter. He likes mobile QBs. The fact Nuss stayed at LSU surprised me.

Someone should ask Nuss. I'll bet he isn't happy with himself. I saw him on the sidelines pounding his helmet on the ground. Not the action of someone happy with himself. Nobody is perfect, but he missed some good opportunities.

Based on his comments in the past and what others say about him, he seems like the type to take accountability and hit the film room and practice field hard to fix the issues from Game 1. He’s a coach’s kid, so I’m sure he knows when he misses a play or read.

I’ll say this- the few issues Nuss had in this game are all fixable. You could see he knew when he made mistakes. You can also see his teammates were there for him in good and bad and helped him up whenever he took hits.

That last bit may seem like a small thing, but the Cover 3 podcast guys pointed out that Cade Klubnik from Clemson was barking at his OL all game vs UGA and that at the end, none of them were helping him up after he got hit. That’s a sign of some deeper issues with a QB and offense that may not be fixable We aren’t there, thankfully.

lol those aren't read option plays

You can keep saying that over and over in multiple threads, but that doesn’t make it true. Certainly not for all of the plays in question. You don’t bother using a mesh for a run play with no secondary option and there were no pass routes at all on at least one of them.
