GFY dude, kids can water ski. It's not like he is on salary for $$$$$ of dollars. Are other scholarship players restricted to only doing xyz?

They can do what ever the frick they want to do, just not 2 weeks before practice starts.

They have the entire Spring and Summer to partake of anything they choose. Risking any kind of freak injury like this right before camp opens up is incredibly dumb. (Yeah, fishing is more important than your LSU football career)

I guarantee that Saban bans this shite at a certain time period before practice starts to prevent this kind of BS.

Hey, I see the Felon, his legion of LSUAD student workers and all the worshipping Pump Lumps are out in force now towing the company line with their up and down votes.

So he gets credit for your future rehab but gets a pass on putting you in that position to begin with.

Makes sense.

In fact they are.

As an example, social media accounts are monitored. Of course, it depends on the sport and the athlete but if unnecessary risk taking behaviors are posted or heard about, it usually gets back to them one way or another. Technically they can't stop them from doing it but then again they do nearly completely control their life within their sport.

It's not unreasonable and it's to be expected. If any coach learns that one of their top athletes engaged in an activity with a high chance of injury they would express their displeasure, and strongly encourage them to not continue doing it.

Having said that, if Myles wants to water ski with a gay ballet dancer, I personally have no problem with that as a fan.

What’s Tulane’s QB situation???
He needs to get healthy and transfer. Hopefully he can make a career in the NFL.

So what you are saying is that Saban bans water skiing or fishing or whatever, but not shooting yourself in the leg?

Saban bans fishing? They report to fall camp tomorrow. Maybe the kid wanted to get one last fishing trip in before camp starts. I get it, all the stories of Joe Burrow holing up in solitude or practicing with teammates all summer in 2019 but Myles owes us nothing. Do I wish he had been preparing like Joe did? Of course. Do I blame him for having a life outside of football? How can I?

I came to post something similar. I’m not atheist but I also don’t believe God is a marionette puppeteer. God didn’t just take a coffee break while dude was skiing and then clocked back in after it was too late.

I don't think anyone blames him for doing stuff outside of football.

But there's a limit - we don't want him mountain climbing, base jumping, dirt biking, or juggling knives.

Fishing seems fine, and if he just slipped doing something routine, then that's just bad luck. I mean, he could slip and fall getting out of the shower.

But if he was goofing around doing stupid stuff, that's different.

And it's odd that we haven't received details - so it's natural for us to assume there's something else going on here.

Sick brag bro. My son in law’s brother is a gay pornstar which is basically the same thing so I get where you’re coming from.

The Coaches took the entire team to play paintball less than two weeks ago...

This is going to shock you and probably most on this board but Myles Brennan (and all his teammates) isn’t a professional.

You don’t seem to be but plenty on this board have commented that he shouldn’t be hunting and fishing when there’s football to concentrate on.

Exactly. My wife slipped on a trash bag and fell a few years ago when we were building our house. Compound fracture just above the elbow which seems to be similar to what he has.

According to a friend that talked to Brennan's uncle, Myles will be back a lot sooner than originally expected. The uncle told him he would be practicing in 2-3 weeks, which I personally find unlikely.

Regardless, things are looking up!
