It blows my mind how you think that just because someone is 77 years old that we're going to run an ancient offense. Look at Pete Jenkins, he was brought in for his knowledge and that lured d linemen to LSU. Sullivan was brought in to shore up the wr's, he may have a different title but that's what he's gonna do, let's face it, our receivers di dnt exactly blossom under Joseph. All the hoopla and misconception about the "pro style offense", it doesnt mean "i" formation only. Look at pro offenses and you'll see multiple sets, formations, (shotgun, some I formation rpo and zone reads). So please, everybody calm down about the pro style offense.

Good deal. They’re going after Grant Gunnell with everything they got. Grants brother plays for A&M and he just came out publicly and said he’s shutting down his recruitment to help grown A&M’s class.

Go look and tell me who their target is.

No just stop bitching like a three year old girl. I'd love to see have these people that bash O try to coach the team. Have the people that complain have a damn IQ of 10

So what makes you think that E will not be good? We only have one season of him here to go by and he tore it up aside from Bama game, which nobody tears anything up you have to have pro level type qb play to beat them and we didn't have pro type talent. We have 2 more years at least to get more qbs why sit there and recruit qbs who have no shot of playing only to transfer. Next season would be a must get qb year for us.

Come on bruh.... he has a past coaching record and let's face it.... he wasn't very good.

You know Pete didn’t recruit and we lost Phidarin Mathis because Bama was able to negatively recruit Pete’s age right?

Sullivan is our Passing game coordinator and hasn’t run ANY offense since 2003.

I am sure he is going to coach the WR well but what does he bring Xs and Os wise?

Have to be ecstatic with the wr core we will have in place for next year

It is extremely unlikely that these guys will be as good as Odell and Jarvis. Jarvis did not play offense his freshman year, and Odell started, but was a role player.

I doubt either of these guys will be mentioned for All SEC next year. It's about 50/50 that either will start. Remember, Kristian Fulton and Russell Shepard were thought to be an impact players their freshman years. Not too many freshmen are, though.

However, I am excited about the WR corps in 2019. These guys could be future NFL first round picks even if they don't have big freshman tears.

So let me get this straight: No one on this board is allowed to talk about a single positive thing regarding LSU football?

Talking about anything positive means that we are trying to cover up short comings of the current staff?

Why is the OP wrong in saying that the future of the offense looks bright?

We have a Young QB who by all accounts is smart and has all the tools.

We have 3 serviceable RBs. All unproven but they will at least be average. CEH abd Curry are both young too. We also will add at least one if not two stud RBs in 2019 as well.

Tory Carter at FB. This guy is young and likes to kill people.

We have two 5 Star Wrs and 2 4 Star Wrs coming in to add to Sullivan, Davis, Dillon, and Anderson. Plus we have Giles too.

Our OL has 2 sophomores that started as Freshman and improved throughout the season. The number 1 Juco tackle coming in. A seasoned Senior in Brumfield. A sophomore that will start at center. Not to mention the signed a good Juco guard and brought in Cole Smith who is a beast. We also have Kardell Thomas coming next year and he is a monster.

So why doesn’t the future look bright? We have a ton of Freshman and sophomores that will play and show great promise.

I agree that O has really shite the bed as HC. But why does that mean that we can’t talk about anything positive in regards to LSU football?

I totally agree with you about losing out on a qb that more than likely would never play a down at LSU. At the same time , I'm disappointed O didn't close the deal on surtain.

I guess you don’t read well. He said the FUTURE of the offense looks bright. You know what happens when inexperienced Freshman and sophomores get a lot of playing time? They become experienced Juniors and Seniors.

You have a serious problem. You can't allow anyone to be positive about anything.

100% agree with this. Brennan and Narcisse have to be licking their chops with a returning OL and these weapons at their disposal. If these guys play to their potential, they have the potential to be very very dangerous.

You can blame him against Bama but not against Florida. Over 400 yards of offense, missed a 30+ yard field goal (3 pts.), fumbled at the 2 (7 pts.), rb ran the wrong way at the 1 (7 pts.), fumbled kickoff (potential pts.). As you can see, lack of player execution, not a coaching problem in that game. If you want to blame someone, blame O for not having them focused for the game.

If he didn't run up the score you would bitch we didn't score enough points against teams we had physically beat. Florida and Bama have consistently had the best defenses in the Sec. NOBODY whips Bama

This argument is so stupid. Defend a man who scores 10 in 2 games against top defenses yet it's not his fault cause they're tough? Scoring 14-17 should be the minimum scoring on each not 10 total. So what you're really saying is you'll find anyway to defend the guys you like. Smh

If you're saying he can't score on them cause they're tough and no one whips Bama so that's to be expected then why hire him in the first place? Jesus

Bill, if I’ve learned anything in life, its that people like Solo Cam are very sad and lonely.

They aren’t happy so no one can be happy.

They are also usually meatheads that have no control over their emotions and no ability to compartmentalize.

He can’t separate things that are bad vs things that are good regarding a single subject . He doesn’t have the mental capacity. He can’t look at LSU abd say that the HC sucks and we missed on some recruiting needs which may cost us in the future while also admitting that we have some nice young players that will see the field this year and could develop into a dangerous offense in a couple of years if not by mid season.

Edit: his answer to the paragraph above will be that we shouldn’t have to wait till mid season or at all for a good offense. Which is valid but he also won’t admit that these young guys do have the potential to be good cuz that would be saying something positive and positivity equates to supporting O in his feeble mind.

For him, it’s either all bad or all good.

Solo Cam is exactly what happens when meatheads get sad/angry. He’s the same guy that’s gonna start a fight at a bar cuz someone “disrespected” him.
