BR radio - Expect LSU to easily cover nine point spread, LSU dominated Fla State 1st half
Posted by TrueTigerTale

104.5 - Both Hester and TBob expect LSU to easily cover the 9.5 point spread, what LSU did to a very good Fla State team in the first half was impressive. Acknowledged that the 31 points unanswered by Fla State in the 2nd half still bothers them.
TTT - Miss St game will go one of two ways, LSU dominates and no one cares that Nuss isn’t receiving playing time. Or LSU offense struggles and allows Miss State to keep the game too close for comfort, and voices grow louder asking when is enough, enough, let Nuss play.

I hope LSU doesn’t take any SEC team for granted this year.

I wouldn't say we dominated FSU in the first half.

They were a little too giddy for me with their comments this morning
I don't think it's gonna be that easy in Starkville

I’m going to call BS on that second part.
LSU got bitch slapped by FSU on 6 plays when it was time to man up inside the 10 yd line. Our OL play was nothing short of weak, poor coached and embarrassing for a supposed Top 10 program.

JD regressed every 3-4 games last season. I'm not expecting much more than a FG win here at Moo St.

What is easy about an 11:00 am kickoff on the road vs a three year starter at QB with a very good RB?
This isn’t going to be an easy win.

This^^^^^
I expect it to be like the game we played up here two years ago-- a dogfight until the end with Will Rogers slinging the ball from endzone to endzone.

LOL. This isn’t true.
LSU could win 56-0, Daniel’s could go 30 for 30 for 500 yards with 8 TD passes and people would still complain that Nuss would have done better.

Was it though? I remember FSU dragging their nuts across the offense on the goal line.

Yeah that’s just horrible betting advice. Daniels struggled in all road games last season except Florida. Very few of our players have experienced the cowbells. Are we even sure that FSU is as good as we say they are?
I took MSU +10
Arnett is a very good DC. He’s going to have a plan to shut down the offense. Their running game will find room and then they’ll smash us with misdirection and play action. It’s going to be a close game and no one should be surprised if State wins.

LSU is a team that could easily lose each and every remaining SEC game. Any one who thinks this current version of the team is just showing up and beating folks, is crazy.

Maybe....they left 14 points off the score board.
But the second half is the more troublesome part...

Except they don't run that kind of offense anymore.
I think it will be a close low scoring game and lean LSU win but Mississippi State to cover. This needs to be the game that Diggs cements himself as RB1. If Daniels is LSU's leading rusher in carries and yards, this is going to be another ugly game.

So if we go out there and score 40 but it’s still too close, “enough is enough?”

They rank triple digits in passing offense. They are a running team.
