Either Bama or Clemson misses the playoff. Not both or neither.
I see this as very possible and really hope we can replace one of these powerhouse teams in the CFP!

Nope, they're both going to the playoff. We simply have to pray LSU is considered top 4 by the committee. But if 2 other clubs are more deserving IN THE MINDS OF COMMITTEE MEMBERS, we're screwed.
I just have to believe 11 & 1 LSU would get in. That resume includes a win AT Texas and 7 & 1 SEC record.

Both play very easy schedules. Clemson’s only test will be with aTm. Bama is the same plus LSU. It’s highly likely both are in.
But.... if you are right.... then I’d choose Clemson over Bama. I think they’re better and have the easier schedule.

Clemson is in. Write that down with permanent marker. That ACC is so bad.
If LSU beats Bama, that’s a big if as it sounds now, and LSU it Georgia win the SEC championship with only one loss I see Bama being left out. Without the LSU win Bama’s best win may be Duke or Auburn.

IMO, Clemson's only real challenge will be in the playoffs. With that said, Syracuse took them to the wire last year and they played close with aTm. Never know...
