You forgot to ad Saban to your list.

Miles took over a winning program already in place from Saban ......and strung together 3 11+ win seasons and a couple years later 4 10+ win seasons, a feat never accomplished by Saban or any LSU coach.

Post repaired.
What does this have to do with the present day coach?

Using this argument locks you into expecting O to be in the playoff this year, since that’s what Smart did in his 2nd.

What kind of logic is that? I've heard LIBERALS use better logic.

If you keep using Smart’s success to justify O disappointing first year than O needs to have that level of success.

You’re one of those conservatives that just says liberals have no logic without understanding whyZ

None of you know jack shite about football

Is it standard football procedure to hire a coach whose career coaching record is 10-25 to replace a coach that had won a national title who himself had replaced a man who had won a national title?

That the way most powerhouse programs do it...?

Yeah...keep defending that. Shows incredible football knowledge.

Well said.

All of the excuses fall by the wayside if LSU regresses under Orgeron this year.

laugh the frick out loud, you call 28-24 @ OKS a winning record???

Yes...because of math.

The greatest assemblage of coaches in SECW history. And his winning percentage is historically good in the SEC career wise. You can say Miles needed to go AND not be intellectually dishonest and pretend the man was a failure his entire tenure.

It's not a losing record. But I've seen you work your math skills in a few other threads the past few months, so I'm not surprised that you would think that 28 wins and 24 losses isn't a winning record.

The Same logic as saying that Saban:UAB::O:Troy The whole point of making that argument is saying that the loss to Troy is excusable because the loss to UAB ended up being excusable because Saban was a success later.

Also the same logic as Dabo's no coordinator experience and his Head Coaching success proves that O with no coordinator experience can also have head coaching success.

No one says this is good logic, but these comparisons are made every single day. So, it's only fair that we keep that logic going.

If he only ever coached at LSU I would agree

But he’s 31-33

Players can lookup their coach. He has never won more games
Than the
Coach he replaced.

No...he's 9-4.

Or are we gonna stop calling him a first year coach, now?

When my wife bitches about something from 20 years ago...it reminds me of our “fans” and Orgeron. My standard response is to ignore such nonsense. Sometimes you just have to tell them to shut the frick up. I didn’t want to hire him. That being said, I want us (LSU) to win so I will support the team. If we aren’t where we need to be in a year, then goodbye CEO. However, to think that recruits, or their friends and family, don’t read this message board is shortsighted. While I can’t say that we lost any recruits to the toxic nature of the rant, it sure as frick didn’t help matters. I mean, Nick Saban hated the fricking doom and gloomers that permeates our fan base. I guess he was wrong about that portion of our fan base too since he sucks at coaching, recruiting, and winning titles. I bet he loves them now! I think it shows a lack of manhood to wish that our team fail so that you can be right. I mean. If Oregon succeeds in the next two seasons, then what? I will imagine that the asshats that try to “affect change” by continually shitting on the program will be disappointed and probably post less. Again, I didn’t want Orgeron as our coach and if he comes up short then both he and Aleva need to go. However, I hope they win a national title. Geaux Tigers and frick the haters.

He also hates he media but they have been very helpful for his programs

Being a good coach doesn’t make him some expert on humanity

he fired his handpicked OC 1 month ago basically flushing his salary and buyout down the drain
he had the worst recruiting class in over decade 1 week ago

I haven't even mentioned Smart. I just saw bad logic and had to speak out.
