However, those patterns you refer to are based on mathematical algorithms only and not opinions of people and their ability.
Not when judging people, hiring for positions, etc.
And often, people will turn subjective items into objective measurements and try to evaluate that. That is a fair approach, although certainly open to flaw and interpretation.

The sample size of O’s past H coaching career is simply not a large enough to use in a predictive argument or formula.
Well, if all you want to only use his career win/loss record, sure. But again, using a single point or determination is misguided.
If you look at O's:
Career W/L
Age
Lack of National Interest
Lack of Skill coordinating either side of the ball
The way he re-uses empty rhetoric - "One team one heartbeat", the Drum
How he presents himself to the media
His lack of program vision
The questionable hires of Canada (process?), DP, Ensminger, etc.
His record at Ole Miss
His only success coming via Interim Sets which are different skill sets
The way he lays blame
The way his hiring was handled
Together, that does not paint a good picture, and does represent both a risky hire and a risky trajectory for LSU. It isn't doom and gloom but given O's history, what would be least surprising: 1) O trending downwards over the next 2 years 2) O competing for a national championship in 2 years ?

Never post again. This is how fricking delusional you O fanboys are.

I’m just pointing out the inconsistencies in the O haters arguments....
Given the time, money, the recruits and added benefit of having the SEC in your own backyard...any coach can build a winning program just like Saban....yeah I think he’s a good coach...but he has tons of help too....

had a 1st year head coach
So are we discounting his interim stint completely? Many of you 0 pumpers like to resort to it to fluff up his record.

a 1st year OC
How is that an excuse? Teams change coordinators all the time.

played over 30 freshmen with 12 starting
Ok? they also played 14 Seniors, 10 Juniors, and 16 Sophomores. That's 40 upperclassmen. You're also including redshirt freshmen in your 30 number.
As a comparison, Bama started 16 Seniors, 15 juniors, and 13 sophomores. That's 44 upperclassmen. Oh, and Bama played 17 true freshmen

Inconsistencies in our argument? You just compared Ed Orgeron to the greatest coach in CFB history. Everyday I think our fan base can’t get any more dumb and everyday, here someone comes to prove me wrong.
Seriously, stop posting.

Saban has been given every tool in the book to succeed....I really don’t think he’s that great of a coach...

With a level playing field—the NFL—he was mediocre

He build our Program from a losing Team to an elite program
He didn’t have the SEC in his back pocket. And LSU wasn’t recruiting itself.
He’s a fricking great coach

Do you think a great mechanic is great at fixing cars because he has more tools than everyone else? It doesn’t matter how many tools you have if you don’t know how to use them.

Guy probably thinks Alabama's coaching staff, recruiting and facilities are in spite of Saban and not because of him.

Right, which is why he should have been hired at a lesser program in order to prove that the sample size was wrong.
