If our cornerbacks had been that aggressive versus Bama's last drive we might be sitting at #2 in the BCS right now.
On a related issue, this might be the least talked about win versus Ole Miss ever on this board. I don't see a single thread on page one discussing game play.

Biggest reason we're not number one right now:
1- Conservative playcalling in early games.
Mettenburger should have been allowed to pass, pass, and pass some more against lesser opponents until he and his receivers became comfortable doing it.
Did I hear Les say in the postgame that he wants 300 yards passing versus Arkansas?

We were beat by alignment, especially on the one with Eugene covering. He was playing outside of the slot with no help to the inside. Didn't even need to hitch and go. A simple slant would have been fine.

Agreed. Tiger D needs help covering slant routes in and around the hash marks.
Tigers' last three opponents have done their film prep correctly and are taking advantage of our deficiencies in coverage and tackling on the aforementioned routes.
