not knocking him, these things happen. but it would've been a huge moment for brennan to throw his first long TD.

from body language you can tell brennan is not entirely comfortable yet, even though I think he has a good presence on the field at this point.

that catch would've done wonders. we'll have to wait till later. I doubt he sees the field against Moo state.

Or the first punt return called back.

My personal biggest disappointment was the amount of penalties in both weeks.

I did notice that Brennan has a rocket for an arm. Dude gets the ball to the receiver so quickly.

Ball leaves Brennan's hand just differently. Kind of reminds me of Mett, although he doesn't have the cannon Mett had.

The easy td drive we gave up I'd have as the worst thing that happened.

Yeah, that drop cost both Brennan's first touchdown pass and Sullivan's first touchdown catch. Would have been great for both players to have had that one.

It's always something holding back the offense from just exploding. Missed throws by the QB, penalties, WR drops, OL cant block.

Always something that just holds us back from being a "good" offensive team. That catch and TD would have really put the "A" stamp on that game for the offense, but that drop made a lot of us go, ugh, we're "ONLY" beating a FCS team by 45-10?

Gotta shake off the cobwebs from the les miles era.

Kicking game. Have to get points when you can. Having 2 kickers each miss FGs was disappointing

etling is definitely showing more control. BUT brennan is looking real good considering he's a real freshman. not saying he looks really bad or nervous. just noting he's not there yet. I think he's the real deal, and just needs enough experience before he really can take charge. he's close. that's why that drop really hurt from my POV.

So basically dropped passes, penalties, d line play, special teams, blocking......other than that we're golden!

I'd say the biggest disappointment was the continuation of the kicking woes. If kicks are being missed at home with nothing on the line, I fear for what will happen in close games on the road against better competition.

To be fair, it's only been 2 passes dropped this season. Last year we had like 4 or 5 in game 1 alone.

penalties

This is an issue. Have to clean it up.

d line play

Overblown, we were missing 2 of our top 5 DLineman for this game. Still shut them down on the ground.

special teams

FG kicker needs to be figured out. Culp has the accuracy, just needs to put more leg into it.

blocking

Not much of an issue from what I've seen.

How about our second game of the year and double-digit penalties? LSU leads the SEC in penalties and penalty yardage per game.

Seems like more of a chronic problem needing fixing than one dropped pass.

We didn't have Lawrence or Key...by FAR our two best linemen

The penalties have sucked and you could see O was displeased. After halftime I think we only had one so I'm sure O tore into them pretty good.

Not really. You're basing that on his kicks this week. We have a season's worth of data and it doesn't substantiate Culp's accuracy.
