One of Dave Aranda’s pet project recruits from this class.

quote:

Surprisingly, McCallum was rated at one point in the 800s in his senior year, but a strong campaign in which he even missed four games due to what was believed to be a heart issue (it wound up being asthma) had him shoot up nearly 250 spots to earn his spot at 569, a criminally low spot for him

quote:

I can see him as a bonafide starter in Aranda’s 3-4 defense where he doesn’t have to be a sideline-to-sideline guy and be a consistent tackler up the middle.

McCallum is a THUMPER. Can't wait to see him come of age in this defense.

I read your comment, went back and watched them and mentally inserted the Sandler Waterboy Squeal as he is about to lay them out. Made my day. :)

He really does. Watching the video in the link I swear I could hear the screaming noise Adam Sandler made when going in for a tackle.

Kendall destroys people. I wonder if opposing coaches even allowed their offense to watch film with this guy before they played him. They would all call in sick if he did.

As deep as we are at ILB I’m sure he’ll have to wait his turn and maybe get some playing time late in games, but he’s seems like the perfect kinda guy to have on the punt and kickoff teams.

McCallum has been my favorite under the radar recruit since he committed. His film is nasty and during the Bama/Miss all-star game even tide fans were saying LSU landed a great prospect. He was the most dominant defensive player that game.

For those that haven't seen his HS film:
HUDL video
ETA: It's in the OP link as well.

I thought I remembered a Mississippi guy and an Alabama guy both saying they thought he was the best player on the field. Not just on defense. My memory may be off though.

Holy shite. I thought he killed the RB on the first play of his highlight video.

His hits are cartoonish. I feel like if he was just a little bit bigger, he would be a monstrous rush LB/DE.

He's not small, but still plays bigger than his size (in a good way).
