Seems we have draftable players at almost every position. There may be six or more first rounders. Imagine the possibilities if both Devin and Greedy play in 2019. I’m dreaming that Burrow comes back, the O-Line continues to improve, the receivers mature and the defense stays together. 2019 would exceed our 2011 squad

White and Greedy are gone. They're projected as top 5 picks right now and are pretty much 1st round locks, barring injury.
Fulton, Lawrence and Feheko are draft eligible as well.

So, no, not the best ever. 2019's unit should still be good though.

It’s a great D, but we need some more impactful hog-mallies and DE’s before you crown this team.

We still cannot stop the run against a good running team. Holyfield ran all over us. My only concern is powerful teams, running between the tackles. Georgia's guards were getting to the second level and blocking Devin White, taking him out of the play.

We could really use some back up DL to help spell the starters.

I made the point early in the season, or preseason, that this team reminds me of 2011 LSU and how they would blow current projections out of the water. I got destroyed. But i was right.

back to topic, If Jacobs continues to grow, he could be just as good as Devin. Losing Greedy will hurt. I love TH33.

I don’t really see the close resemblance between this year and 2011.

2003 was pretty damn legit as well. That D-line was sick.

I dont know about best ever, but we get Chaisson back which is huge.

We will have a lot of talent. But we will be replacing some big time players in Greedy and Devin White.

But we have seen players step up in these spots before, but why dont we just enjoy what we have here in 2018 while we can?

The 2011 team started #4 and quickly moved to #1 because they were pummeling everyone including to ranked OOC teams away from home. The finished 13-0, this team already has a loss and could lose 1 or 2 more. Hopefully they don’t and you are right in the end, but let’s not take victory laps halfway thru

I was referring to Roster and expectations. Our Offense in 2008-10 wasn't great. No a lot of expectations. especially when our starting qb was suspended.

Best ever? not sure of the year but one season LSU's defense gave up only 30+ points total. In the 70's I think.

Dude, I love your enthusiasm, but LSU has a looonnnnggg way to go to get to 2011 or 2003 status.

Those defenses were overloaded with talent.

Not even close. Great players... most definitely. However, this defense has problems stopping the run.

Next year’s defense would have a chance to make a run at best ever if everyone came back.

That being said, barring something crazy, I fully expect White, Williams, and Lawrence to go.

8 yards a carry is pretty good.

They should have ran him like 30 times.

But you won’t hear me complain. LSU wins and less boxing puns fro fricking Gary

Yes. But, that almost all came early. After that second possession, the run was stopped.

I agree with the sentiment that saying this is the best D ever is pushing it (though, I'd never squash a fans happiness...so, keep on with it).

I'm just saying that UGA "ran all over us" for a few series and then got stuffed. As is often the case, a few long runs will boost an average.

He ran for 23 yards on 2 carries on their first TD drive.

They needdd to feed the beast but didn’t.
