If this LSU team finishes the deal and brings home the natty in Nola, they're going to be considered as one of the best, if not the absolute best, teams to ever play college football. This team is so special and talented, and they seem to be on a mission to get that cfp trophy and bring it back to LSU. Geaux Tigers.

They will be the Greatest CFB team ever IMO if they finish this thing off...

This team will be the standard that everyone will emulate for YEARS to come. We have the entire thing top to bottom... starting with Coach O being a great coach and extremely good guy. And having a Role Model QB that every kid can look up to... GOAT team ever... EVER

Ordinarily I would roll my eyes at shite like this, but if they win it all I agree totally.

Greatest SEC team ever, for sure. And arguably, top 3 of all time. But look at what the 2001 Miami team did:

1. The team had an incredible 17 first-round NFL draft picks.

That doesn’t include Clinton Portis or Frank Gore, who combined for seven Pro Bowls, seventeen 1,000-yard seasons, and 23,443 rushing yards.

Exactly half of the NFL used a first-round pick on someone from this roster.
There’s a 78% chance your favorite NFL team has employed a first-round pick from 2001 Miami since an incredible 25 teams have rostered one of them at some point or another.

2. A total of 38 players from this roster were drafted by the NFL.
That’s 17 first-round picks, six Day Two picks, and 15 from rounds 4–7.
An incredible 75% of the NFL used a draft pick on some player from this team.

Gotta win it first. Tall order. If we do then it is definitely something to consider. I do think at this point we had a better season in 2011 up till this point just because we played oregon and west virginia. Arky, and Bama both top 3. Uga top 10. But beating Oklahoma then clemson/OSU would push us over that.

yet the hurricane played only one top 10 team, and that was in the NCG.

if this LSU wins it all, they would’ve ran through all of god damn college football.

2001 Miami was probably the most talented, but 1995 Nebraska was the most dominant.

Oh, I totally agree that Joe would do that. Just incredible to see the names of those players on that team and how long and impactful they were in the NFL.

This LSU team is better but hard to argue about the talent and what that 2001 Miami team did after college.

What? This LSU team would be up there with ANY national chsmpionship teams from the past...ever. look at who they would have played and beaten...alot of them blowouts, this season. Hell, the auburn game could have and should have been worse than the final score would lead you to believe. We left at least 10 points on the field in the redzone due to our frickups there. Doesn't matter though. If they seal the deal and win it all, I guarantee you that they will be remembered forever as one of the best teams to ever be assembled in history. I just don't see how you or anybody else could attempt to argue that they're not. We need to finish this season like we are capable. When we bring our A game and play like to their potential...this team is simply unstoppable. Period. They're just that good. What a historical season. Let's get this shite done tigers! Geaux Fightin' Tigahs!!!
