University of Houston approved a raise from 1.3 million to 3 million last week. They had no choice. They know they won't be able to keep him. He's gone. Only question is where. I believe it's us. Best fit. He knows Texas recruiting. He knows our fans are dying for exciting offense. I believe he is the one they want. He would be a great hire.

At this point, no source rivals any "sources" thus far.

But a poster here earlier said he knows Herman isn't leaving Houston.

This is a huge gamble with someone who has been a hc for one year and that wasn't at a power five school. I'd honestly rather keep les and I've been ready to move on for years.

To me he should probably be the hire if you can't get or don't want to wait on chip kelly. But with our higher ups, if the guy hasn't coached here before they don't want him...so

Herman would be a winner here for 15 years. He is smart enough to keep evolving and adapting...

I have felt for a while he is our guy. The people that think this would resemble a Hallman hire are clueless.

I honestly think if we pass on him it would be a huge mistake. He has improved his team DRAMATICALLY at every stop he has made.

At this point it's redundant to throw out the MENSA factoid, OSU winning a natty with him, Houston going balls out this year...when I see him coaching, I see a WINNER. I've stated in a previous post...with Herman, we Tiger fans would absolutely know that our coach is smarter and better prepared than the guy he is coaching against.

I think LSU needs to make him tell us NO.

I read the article on cbssports.com. They approved a raise last week. You go 10-1 first year and your making 1.3? They are desperate to keep him. If we don't take him someone will. I'd rather have a talented, young, hungry coach that has a great offensive mind than an established coach with nothing to prove. This guy knows how to build an offense. Read his bio. Do a search. It's impressive.
