Biggest concern is rim protection

Who does LSU have their eyes on for a big?
With Smart at PG, I see a lot of driving to the rim, and driving and dishing.
I wish we could get a post up center or huge forward to keep the rim game legitimate and make teams prepare for the post up with the big line up and the small, fast, and movement squad.

Maybe, but from what I watched last year thats coincidence.
Not really, I mean Days and Williams were both among the top incoming offensive rebounders in last year's class. They both hit the glass very hard.

Hard to offensive rebound when everyone is on the perimeter... which is where Days and Watford like to be.
If you normalize Days' offensive rebounds to Williams', Days had about 2.3 offenisve boards per Williams' minutes played which he had 2.6 himself, so very very close...and the difference could really lie in the fact Days is a shooter and Williams was not. Almost kind of shows how impressive Days' numbers are there shooting so much from perimeter.

We lost our top 2 targets to Ole Miss and the U. Both bad losses for us but we’re currently after Charles Coleman 7-0, 220lbs 3* from Texas and Antwan January 6-11, 240lbs 3* from California. Hopefully we get one of these.

Well if Days is in Im not gonna be mad about it... I just think Williams game compliments Watford whereas Days mirrors it.... But regardless, ideally we need a true big man

Better scenario is Dante reclassifying and he and Watford wreck shop for next 2 years at least

247 has Dante in the class of 2019. I’ve only just started seeing him a couple days ago, what’s the story with him?

Really? He was 2020. But BB recruiting peeps seem to think we lead... so he could be the answer to our big man troubles... btw us and Kentucky I think

Yeah neither is a rim protector whatsoever and you cant expect guys who are 6'6 to be that really unless they have CRAZY Jordan Mickey like hops (and wingspan), who even he was 6'7 without shoes on. I'd go to bet Days and Williams are like 6'5-6'6 range without shoes.
But honestly both are dogs when it comes to rebounding. I remember on more than 1 occasion when they landed into each other fighting for a rebound last season. They can rebound, but both struggle to defend a bit, heavy foulers.

Maybe he did reclassify, I really don’t know his situation at all but 247 has Illinois as a big player still in the mix.
Thats not N'Faly Dante. Thats Antwuan January. He is 2019. But think we on the outside looking in for him.
Dante still shows as 2020 at the moment. LINK

Lol my bad dude I had the name Dante January in my head instead of Antwan.

Didn't they give Graves a scholarship last year? Are they going to take it away this upcoming season? Would be not nice!
Posted on 5/21/19 at 1:27 pm to Tom Bronco
It’s not like Graves didn’t know the deal

He got Sims' scholarship for the year, scholarships are renewed yearly, so it's unlikely he would get it again, it was just a special case scenario.

I can see Graves getting a scholarship tbh. He will get playing time next year.

It's pretty obvious. LSU could use another big body in SEC play.
We really need 2 or 3 more. I'm tired of scrounging around...
