I think Arky ends up hosting, hard to deny a team that will have 20 SEC wins. Mississippi State could very well back out of a regional host.

I won't argue about 19-10 or 20-9 in the SEC deserving a regional. They are a good team. Rather not play them again, unless Nola is pitching.

Hard to imagine that a 20 win SEC team could not even finish 1st in their division, and only 3rd in conference. Hell, it's hard to imagine we could finish with 23 or 24 wins and still be several games out of first in the SEC.

Exactly, my guess at the beginning of the season was that 20-10 wins the west.
I'd rather be playing good baseball and be a 2 seed somewhere than barely hang on to a host spot. Not as many 1 seeds make it out of regionals as you might think.

I remember saying at the beginning 20-10 should have us contending for the SEC title. Boy was I wrong. We're 19-5 and basically have no shot.
Very true. Just ask Miami how hosting worked for them.

Theres been a few years where 7-9 #1 seeds didnt even make it out of their own regionals.
I remember Bama getting hot one year but ended up at a 2 seed in Atlanta against a struggling Tech team and Auburn hosted another regional. Bama won that regional and Auburn lost theirs.

Yeah that was the year where several teams didnt make it out including Texas, Arkansas, Vandy, Missouri, Coastal, Virginia. Weird year.
San Diego got a national seed and went 0-2 in their regional. Long Beach hosted the other one. I remember most everybody was expecting ucla/fullerton to win those which they did.

Yeah i was rooting for anyone but Oregon State and Irvine. I didnt want Oregon State to repeat and I was going to Wichita State so I was still mad Irvine beat them.
