Not really. He wasn't supposed to throw much. He had nice speed. Probably a bit tentative as you could imagine. He'll get there.

The phenom Latz got the start for LSU. Threw almost all fastballs thru two. Gave up two runs. He showed some good stuff.

Protecting him and easing him along.

This is the Tulane game all over again. No focus. No pitch recognition. Pulling outside pitches instead of hitting the ball the other way.

Just when you think this team turns a corner it goes the other way. Why did manieiri change a lineup that finally looked right?
