Was June, 19, 2017, Manieri and LSU baseball's equivalent of January 9, 2012, for Miles and LSU football? That is, beat-down, humiliation, and exposure on the national stage? Can Manieri now linger for as long as Miles did?

No, Eric Walker was taken out of the game early.

Not even close. We played OSU once. We played Bama twice. The equivalent would be us beating OSU in the supers and then playing then again in Omaha.

You haven't posted in 7 months and this was the best you could come up with?

I don't know too much about baseball but didn't Florida lose to Arkansas badly in the SEC tournament?

Baseball is a dynamic competition. Things that play together and create a win one day can have literally an opposite outcome the next day. We hit balls right at people for the most part of the game along with pop-ups and ground balls right at people, walked 100's and gave up runs with errors when the walkers were on base and attempted to advance runners with steals that were thrown out. These dynamic circumstances add up to a predictable grand slam or 3 run homer at some point to seal the dea. Similar in some respects to what FSU did against us the other day. You change two or three of those things and it's a tight game.

So that's baseball. But dammit to hell what you don't do when you are in a ball game and behind by only 3 runs is try to steal when you are already in scoring position on a catcher that has a cannon for an arm capable of hitting a bullseye from 100'. Twice in this game. This is my single complaint against Maineri through all the years at LSU. He has literally wasted 100's of runs through the years with this over aggressive tactic at the worst times.

You just can't do this against a team as well trained and focused as OSU. But he gets paid the bucks, me, I'm just an old fart sitting on the couch saying WTF?
