Of course. Rag has given it good momentum though

No reason to make him go over 90 this early in the year.
You know except besides doing something that's never happened in lsu baseball history.

Wow. Oregon State lost today as well and they play a couple more tough games this weekend.

There's no guarantee it happens. So you take a risk of hurting him? Since he hasn't thrown 80 pitches since June much less 100? Risk another 12 wins? Or Omaha? And who needed those innings more, him or the inexperienced bullpen? And what's wrong with a combined no hitter? That's never been done either in LSU history. There would also be people who would say it's tainted: northern team dealing with harsh winter, fifth game of the season, non-tournament team (they have a good chance of missing out), etc.
I'll rephrase. No good reason to have him go back out there.

Agree! Taking risk this early in the year is not smart

I mentioned this in another thread: Rodon threw 96 pitches in 6 innings last Sunday in a loss. Last night (4 days rest), he threw another 106 in 8 innings and barely got a win over App. St. 6-5.
It will be interesting to see how much this early stress on his arm affects him toward the end of the season. He's a hard throwing, high intensity/effort guy.

I completely disagree with NC State throwing Rodon like that. I'm so glad we have the best pitching coach in the country and someone who cares about our pitchers. Pulling Nola was the correct thing to do no doubt about it.

I was just saying there was in fact a reason. Not that I had a problem with the pull.
But if we being honest Nola wraps those six outs in 15 pitches and is no worse the wear.

They had him on a pitch count and they stuck to it.

Why doesn't LSU post shite for stats? Or am I missing it. I can't find anywhere how Stevenson and Moore have faired this year versus lefties. Or ops although that's easiest enough to add up. But it be nice to have.

Most teams don't post those type of stats on their website.

Anyone else pissed we failed to score double digit runs again?

No, but 6 of the 9 runs were unearned so those really don't count.
