Baseball: Game day experience
Posted by Weekend Warrior79 on 3/4/21 at 3:35 pm21
Haven't been to the stadium in a few years and was wondering if there is a "better" side for watching afternoon games with young children?
Also, saw the "clear bag policy" and "no container" rules, do you know if this applies to the small straw cups for toddlers (under 2)?
Appears concessions are open, can anyone confirm?

Section 218 is the best spot in the Box

Depending on time of game RF can be really bad with the sun
Your kids might not like that

Concessions are open and they are all cashless. You are allowed to bring in 1 34oz bottle of unopened water so i think the cups will be fine.

*Clear bag is enforced.
*You can bring in those cups just show that their empty.
*Right Field Sucks donkey dong for afternoon games.
*Concessions are open and they don't take cash but there's a cash-to-card machine thingy under the concourse. You can feed it bills and spit out a gift card thing.
FYI You can move around and sit anywhere that's open. Nobody is going to check your ticket unless it's the person whose seats you're in. So just feel it out after an inning and move if you want to.
I've been to 3 games so far this season and sat in the Gold Seats every game(My tix are in Left Field).

What is the story on BB tickets? I can’t seem to find any at the usual places. What’s the word on the street for increased attendance and more availability?
Tks

I don't think JBE has increased capacity with his new Phase. I went through lsusports to get my tickets, they are only releasing 1 week at a time so they can properly adjust to the restrictions (and probably give season ticket holders first dibs).
All that was available was a few spots in the 200 sections down 1st or 3rd base (I went w/ 3rd base) and a few behind the visitor dugout.
Edit: Just noticed there are some in left field, didn't see it before.

quote:He did. Up to 50% from 25%. The box should be able to hold 5k based on that number. Unfortunately though, you’re still supposed to use the 6ft rule so I’m not sure if they can open up enough seats to satisfy that part.

Honest question, why did LSU admin completely frick over students when it comes to seating and gameday experience when they built the new Alex Box.

quote:Football yes. Baseball and basketball I have to disagree. I actually find it difficult to watch non post season baseball on TV if I’m not invested in one of the teams. But I can watch any teams play live. Just love the atmosphere and pace when I’m actually there. But the old box is soooooo much better than the new in that regard.

quote:The RF deck is perfect for students. Who they fricked are the LF fans having to sit in those high school bleachers. The whole stadium should be chairbacks. It’s embarrassing that it’s not.

I did not see that, good to hear. Agree it will be difficult to get up to 5k w the 6' rule, but hopefully they can at least open it up a little more; especially before SEC play. I am sure it will take a few weeks for them to figure it out.
