Pap is going to be a great catcher. But, he is a freshman. It is tough to catch as a freshman. Both Gibbs and Ross played as freshman because of weakness at the position, even though Ochinko ended up being the real deal.

It's also a case where Bain's outing last night is huge. Our bullpen is rested. No need to stretch out Lange at all.

guaranteed he would say he didn't throw all that well. Did a great job getting it done

That's the situation I thought we were going to have. As did others. You can see Pap has the tools. Behind the plate and from both sides. But I'm happy he isn't forced into the games like those two were. He's my favorite young player on this team. I'm a little biased.
