Gibbs up, Landry on 1st, 2 outs...

Ball, 1-0...
Low, 2-0...
Strike, 2-1...
Throw to first...
Throw to first...
In the dirt, Landry is out stealing 2nd to end the inning, 3-0 Tigers, Bot 4.

Did you not comprehend this?: He leads the team with a 471 OBP. You don't think it's a good idea to have your OBP leader be your lead-off man?

I get it but there are quite a few players who also have nearly the same obp% and who have struck out way less. At least they put the ball in play and are arguably better hitters who can acutally hit a curve ball. I can recall several games where Mitchell struck out three and four times. That sucks, leadoff hitter are supposed to be adept at putting the ball in play. He is just non existent sometimes.

This is baseball. 2 totally different crowds.

I'll buy that.

The football crowd can be very rough and certainly is not hospitable.

I can't remember how they got that first out that got him into a groove.
Are you referring to the out just before the sacrifice fly which scored our third run? Hmmmmmmm....

Wait up, I'm part of the football crowd as well as baseball and basketball. We are rough around the edges, but we also take care of opponents as well. To say we are not hospitable is not right.

Landry is fast, but not a good baserunner?

You've also got to remember that those football fans have been tailgating all day and are fueled by copious amounts of whiskey.

And final run so far. One might argue he just needed an out to help him settle in.... which he did.
