Most of those decisions are made pre-pitch. But also add that it bounced right over the mound, and Landry would have also held to make sure the pitcher didn't snag it.

You can keep this team down for a while but they will get to your pitching eventually in the late innings.

The ace from Pepperdine comes to mind, not to mention the comebacks against W&M's and Arky's bullpens.
