It's clear White is a once in a lifetime player and already one of the best defensive players in the league. He's the total package of leadership, size, strength, football IQ, quickness, hunger and nastiness. If he can avoid injuries and doesn't become complacent, he's on path to see his name among some of the greatest LBs like Ray Lewis, Lawrence Taylor and Jack Lambert to ever play the game. He's fun to watch because you know you're getting 100 percent on every play! I imagine by now he's already got his black cowboy hat on and riding his horse with the Lombardi Trophy in his arms!

I'm no NFL scout. But he looked like an elite NFL LB his last season in Tiger Stadium. The way he covered sideline to sideline, plugged the right holes effectively, covered his man, etc. was complete and dominant.

I am Not too worried about complacency.

The guy is high character.

Injury is a mother. You never know.

But you just have to hope for a long career.

He's like Ray Lewis but not a super annoying murderer.

Just remember Newton's 3rd law. Teams will have a response to block him. If he can still produce the same stats, then he will be potential HOF material

Let’s just hope he doesn’t take a stab at mirroring Ray Lewis

How on God's green earth this guy wasn't a 5 star coming out of HS is beyond me. Dude was a 6'1 250 RB/LB that ran a legit 4.4 and completely devastated everyone in his path. He was all everything on both sides of the football and a great person off the field.

I guess because he went to a small school, but this dude was everything that Fournette was but bigger and not playing for a New Orleans HS.

I freaking love both of them but if I am starting a team today and I could pick any position other than QB, I am taking Devin White every fricking day and twice on Sundays.

He's a freak, but let's slow down the hyperbole just a bit. He ran over a 4.4 at the combine at 6'1/8" and 237 lbs, after 3 years of college S&C training and several months of elite draft prep. He did not get shorter, lighter, and slower in college.

They have such a strong linebacking core that it helps White shine that much more. He loses that and he'll have a harder time. Still a Great player. Should have been pro-bowler.

Devin is a Patrick Willis clone with more speed. This brings fear to me and I don't even play football. Devin has made a name for himself and he is the ultimate team player. Lets hope he keeps this up for another 10 years and he will be a first ballot hall of famer

He is a generally great guy by all accounts, but he was also under investigation for statutory rape when he was being recruited.

This!!!! I was thinking last night he may be the best #5 pick in the draft in a long, long time.

Careful making these comparisons. These guys are also mean off the field and it triggers some of the Rant.

I literally said he was 6'1 in HS so how is that getting shorter?

Also he did lose weight at LSU and it made him quicker to the ball and better in coverage. He was a man amongst boys in HS. I think you should go back and check him out because it might surprise you.

That 'targeting' call against him in the (I think) A&M game still ticks me off.

I love how most fans chipped in and got a plane to pull a banner for him.

I still have pictures of that somewhere.

For real, never been so pissed off after a win in my life. I remember hoping devin white would ride his horse onto the field as soon as halftime hit and how badass that would be for the bama game. The crowd would have registered an earthquake i believe.
