Media has built them as the greatest team ever assembled. They’ve been beating up on shitty defenses all year. Wanna shut all of that down? Show up next weekend. Plain and simple.

But yes, 14pt dogs at home is a tad much.

No it’s not. It’s right on point. We can actually play a great game and lose by this spread.

I can’t find the moneyline but with that kind of spread it should be around +550 or so. That would be some tempting odds

That’s frickin ridiculous. I’ll be shocked as hell if we get beat by any worse than 2 tds in TS

I was thinking line would open at about 10. I’m not an oddsmaker though.

Bets/money determine the ultimate line. Point spread betting is in many ways a very rational market. Whatever the spread ends up being it means half the money is on one side and half is on the other.

Some LSU fans are either drunk or retarded. Alabama easily covers this spread. Other than it being a night game at LSU and kicker LSU has no advantages. Saturday night will be less of a let down when fans acknowledge this.

That’s exactly what the line should be because that’s what the public makes it. Vegas doesn’t really “set” lines. I mean, they do set the initial lines, but then the line fluctuates depending on how the public bets it. Vegas ideally wants equal money on each side in order to guarantee that they win the 10% juice. If the line is out of whack, the public will no doubt correct the line by loading up on what they deem the best side.

I concur. 17 is the number I had in mind.

I don't know. I'm starting to feel like this could be Bama's first real blow out of us in a long time. Don't have a good feeling at all anymore. I hope I'm wrong, but I just don't think it will go well saturday. We could get whipped from start to finish. I'm starting to think they could beat us by at least 3 td's. Something along the lines of 38-17 or 45-17. LSU will have to get some big breaks, cash in on some turnovers and play lights out to keep this one close.
