145 pass attempts over the past 5 games - that includes Florida.

For those who say that Miles, et al, will not throw the ball, those are some pretty good numbers. The difference is that the receivers are catching the ball, we are using play action more, Mett is more confident and is hitting targets, and the passing game is coming alive.

I give coaches credit for that.

The playcalling has been there, but the players were not executing. Now, they are and confidence is growing. With the entire offense returning next year, basically, if LSU throws 30 times a game and runs 40 times a game and we execute well in both aspects, the sky is the limit for the offense.

The South Carolina and Alabama defenses could not shut us down this year. No one will be able to next year.

When he has a QB he can trust he's not afraid to throw it. Stop listening to the idiot here.

In fairness, though, we are 3-2 in those games. But, I think that everyone can see that we have a better offense when we throw the ball. Still, the run/ball control offense has its merits. I don't want to see us get away from that. It has been a good formula for winning. But, I do want to see us move the ball and score more when we get the chance.

We are averaging 30 ppg this year, which is like 8 down from last year. The lack of spark from the defense/special teams is showing.

Can't be right... Miles is a big 10 guy... 3 yards and a cloud of dust...

FRICK THE TARDS!!!! Nobody want any part of LSU right now....

The Florida game was the last game that we saw the awful Mett and lost because of it. I think we saw the promise in the A&M game, he just overthrew a few of those passes (it was windy that whole game too though). But these last few games, we are seeing the Mett that we all thought we would get at the beginning of the year.

2013 should be great with another offseason for Mett

The biggest difference is that the protection is better. I'm not sure how you could have left that off.

Yep. The offensive line has really come together. No doubt. Good insight.

Well of course and surprisingly it took an injury to a veteran and an unusual leave of absence from another for us to find a solid o-line but we now have one. But you can still have a good o-line and have a shitty QB. Mett is also completing a lot of the throws he either use to A.) telegraph or B.)just mis-throw.

Also, the receivers are doing a lot better catching the ball and he finally found a guy that he can trust going to: Landry

We lost against UF because they shut down our running game and begged us to throw, and we still had major issues at the OL.

I dont think anyone will argue the the light has definitely turned on for Mett. That being said, I don't know if he was just prepared better for Bama, or just decided to get his shite together, but he looked very unprepared for UF. Whatever the reason, be it himself of the coaches not preparing the passing game, its been fixed.
