Was a man out there today. Burrow had time to get his throws off. Just a tremendous improvement from last week by the offensive line.

Only knock was false starts that he will get over. Man if that was an all time front 7 then we will be alright.

NO it didn’t. Chases Hines did not miss a single block tonight. When brumfield left the game vs came back in absolutely nothing changed.

Deculus and Hines played well. Good Coaching?

I think so.

Was just talking about how impressed Hines was coming in the game. There’s an oline worth a damn going forward. Need our OC to get creative with running plays and passing to help our slow WRs get some separation and we will be alright.

Chasen Hines is a beast in the making. Reminds me of Trai Turner. I watched him every snap he was in there and he was manhadling some guys

The O-line's performance gives me some hope for games like UGA and Bama. LSU needs to take care of the next three games which include Mississippi State and UofFricked.

I think so.
There were very few instances, as far as one could tell, of confusion with the protection- who's got what type things.

That's almost always and indicator being coached up. Or facing someone really bland, which Steele is not.

Will point out a hidden factor (mentioned on the scoreboard):
They were much better/quicker with the calls AND communicating them. That allows the QB and OL to survey the D alignment and get such things sorted. I thought it hurt us alot in the SLU game and some in the Miami game.

The OL doesn't always "blow" assignments, if they don't have time to recognize them then people go unblocked.

this is a good take.... the pressure that did come today was guys just getting beat (which happens sometimes even to the best o lines) there weren't any instances of cutting guys loose due to confusion. i also liked the 7 man slide protection. giving a kid a gap to look at is much easier on them than trying to see blitz looks and safety alignments.

The interior oline isn't very good, but you could clearly see improvement on the edges.

I'm on board with all these post. Could see it coming a little from last weak. Great improvement from the OL against a stout DL.

The interior played very well tonight. Lewis made a couple mistakes, several times they didn't get much push. But they didn't get pushed back and Steele recognized that Burrow is indeed really good when he doesn't have pressure in his face so he repeatedly tried to break the middle with stunts and the occasional blitz and it held very well.

That may be one reason for the seemingly odd Burrow runs- to keep them from getting too exotic with twists and stunts and have them worry, just a little, about keeping rush lanes.

When Magee gets healthy, at 335 does he kick down to guard, or does Deculus slide inside? Neither?

Seems like we could use more beef in there to get the run game steadied since every pass attempt is a coin flip.

And where is Campbell? Here is a guy Saban recruited as hard as any lsu commit and he can't seem to find the field.

Hines was outstanding but who really had heard much about him before yesterday?
