so close together.

Aren't they the ones that insist on playing Ga?

They got what they deserved.

I don't blame them. They would have been better off declining the SEC CG, and getting in the playoff. It's stupid for Bama to "earn" a bye after losing the Iron Bowl.

No it would have helped them if they hadn't lost to Clemson and LSU.

they played in a physical war (as we always do) against bama. they beat up uga and bama. they had to play in playoff mode since the loss to us. they came in fatigued and banged up against uga. it showed. kerryon Johnson was about 60%. remember lsu vs uga in the seccg in 2005? 11 straight games without a bye. how tired they were that night? remember how refreshed they were against Miami in the peach? uga was playing with house $ and got some rest in by playing uk and ga tech.

Don't they want to go to the East? They would still play both w Bama being their permanent rival.

I definitely would. Previous to Saturday's game they had a point differential against Clemson, Georgia, and Bama of 72 to 45.

Not one of those teams had to play either of the other 2. But Auburn had to play 4 games against them?

Well, it's their loss to us that killed them.

Lose to two top-5 teams (at one time or another ranked #1) and beat two #1's at time of game and you have the "best wins" AND "best loss" arguments sowed up.

But throw their loss to us in that mix, both arguments fall apart.

And I shed no tears.
