I’m sure this has already happened but I think LSU should contact the Saints to see what cleats they use there! There was an awful lot of slipping when the running backs and receivers made cuts. IMO

You don’t think the coaches and the training staff know which cleats to screw on after last weekend? Come On Man

They wont be playing on the same turf as the Falcons. Generally, a whole new field is rolled out for major bowl games in venues that are homes of NFL teams. It's easier to roll up a giant carpet and lay a new one down than it is to paint a field and then remove the paint and then repaint it with a different logo.

Don’t know if anyone noticed but second half of SECCG you didn’t see as much of the slipping on the field. Heard someone mention that teams changed type of cleats during halftime. Anyone else hear that?

Shouldn’t they have known beforehand, or at least after warmups?

I don’t know what the reasoning was but LSU definitely handled the playing surface much better than UGA.

No. It’s the same turf.

Looked to me the turf was over-filled with rubber pellets not allowing the cleats to sink in deep enough to grip.

As if the saints would help LSU. Sean Peyton is not a fan.

A few former Tigers also play for the Falcons. Give them a call

Deion Jones
Russell Gage
Danny Etling (Practice Squad)

I want to say I've seen Sean Payton complain about it before too, but I couldn't find any links on google so maybe not.

You usually don’t notice the stuff, but I rewatched the game last night, and you could definitely see some areas of it that were more concentrated with it...

Usually it’s spread out more evenly...

I’m sure Joe Brady has some friends still with the Saints and could make a call!
