At #9 this LSU team has a lot to play for.

Six teams ranked ahead of us play each other. So if we take care of business, at worse we are talking about finishing #6 when the final rankings come out.
Some upsets could potentially open a playoff spot for LSU. How huge would that be? I don’t care if that means a Bama rematch and we lose 100-0, making the playoffs would be a big deal for this program. A NY6 bowl would also be nice.

We needed a close loss to Bama to have a shot at backdooring into the playoff.
That's gone now. NY6 is definitely in play whether it be Sugar or Peach Bowl. Nothing to sneeze at

Stop dreaming...we aren’t sniffing the playoffs. Hope for a NY6 best case.

So everyone seems to be losing their mind at the concept of LSU making the playoffs. Why is that so strange? It’s a super long shot, but didn’t we beat #2 (now #5) Georgia by 20? All we need to two or three upsets to make it a reality.
