Can Woodward claim another championship having not been dethroned?

If there is no CF this year. LSU remains National Chamption? Why no? This would set record for longest reigning national champion in history of CF.

I believe the real question is what other sports are gonna suffer in college athletics? I believe it is safe to say that if the games are played they will not be to packed houses of 70,000-100,000 people at Tiger Stadium and with football being the cash cow and carrying many other sports how are those gonna make it. They all rely so heavily on ticket sales and concession sales. Those are such a large piece of the pie of total revenue the athletic department takes in every year.

LSU and a handful of others will make it. The majority will be in dire straits immediately on september 1.

How will college athletes survive without their stipend from universities and fan?.
No play no pay. How will Nike survive?
How will Nike agents survive?
What will Dickie V have to talk about?

Nike, ESPN, athletes, have all been under the false assumption that demand for their products and services is inelastic. That house of cards will eventually come crashing down, maybe as soon as this fall. We need doctors, nurses, garbage men, truck drivers and a host of other professions. As much as we enjoy sports, we dont need them. When the cost gets too high, either financial or in terms of bullshittery, we'll find something else to do, and we won't miss them near as much as we thought we would.

Based on the current criteria, it will be impossible to have football this season. The only chance we have is the lost revenue that all college's would suffer. The "criteria" has to change.

Well the criteria is when the virus is gone when everyone is safe or when there's a vaccine the answers to all that is never. Because the goal is to destroy the economy isn't it brilliant ?

Yall realize tickets and packed stadiums really just cover the cost of hosting the game right? TV dollars is the money maker... don’t need fans in the stands for that.

The small % of profit lost from game day sales will pale in comparison to the uptick in advertising/TV dollars the school will see from more people being vested in CFB as something to do...

We would have to win the next 33 games in a row. Oklahoma won 47 games in a row from 1053-57.

Absolutely not. We are not alabama, nor do we want to claim championships not won.
