The term nicked gives me PTSD of Fournette before the 2016 Wisconsin game

Won't play in AA game now. I was selfishly looking forward to seeing him dominate.

“Nicked” is Les-jibberish. A separated shoulder is something more.

Is he an early enrollee? They are supposed to practice with the team these 2 weeks.

It's coach speak and by no means confined to Les or even originated with him. Nicked, tweaked (that's O preferred phrase IIRC), etc. is generally a description of an injury we either do not know the severity of or choose not to disclose the severity of.

I found this report on 24/7 website
quote:

LB Derek Wingo (81): We love the way Wingo practices. The Florida signee brings a ton of energy to the field and made plays in all three phases on Thursday. With five-star tight end Arik Gilbert out with a separated shoulder, Wingo saw work at tight end and showed well there.
