He’s 3rd string for Georgia and didn’t even travel with the team this weekend. Such a waste of some generational talent at his position because he’s a headcase. No NFL team is going to touch him with a 10 foot poll.

I remember watching Arik only once in HS at Marrieta in a televised game, when he was a Top 5 overall prospect.
While Gilbert did make a couple of nice plays at TE in that game, he didn't show up production-wise every series.
Whereas, it was his teammate & fellow LSU commit, BJ Ojulari, 84th overall prospect, who dominated/disrupted every series/drive at DE, while also playing two-way at OT/TE on offense. LSU clearly has the better football player, of the two.

He can show up at the combine and show out all he wants. Everyone knows he is an athlete. For teams to take him seriously, his interviews are going to have to be on point. Otherwise, nobody is wasting a draft pick or prioritizing him as a top UDFA. I can see a team or two bringing him into camp to see if he can be a consistent player and human being. But based off what we know, that camp stint will likely be short lived.
