Are people who hate the Bo hire recent fans??

I remember when Bo left, we were so disappointed. I think without the defense, we would not have won the 2007 NC. The rush defense was outrageous, gave up under 50 rushing yards in multiple games in a run heavy SEC back then!!

I’m a little surprised by the negativity. I have missed those nasty dominant defenses.

Must be, they only know him as the coach that was fired from Nebraska and has been at Youngtown State. Dude had a killer defense every year he was our DC. That 2006 defense was probably the most talented until the 2011 defense came along. I am really excited to see what Shelvin and Ika can do in Pelini's defense.

I was really disappointed when we lost Bo.
I dig this hire!

That 07 defense benched every qb that season until they played Florida. I miss his defense that allowed the free safety to sit back and be a head hunter. Obviously targeting rules will change that type of attack.

So many Rantards are X-Box football fans. The don't know shite outside of their controller and Sports Center.

I liked Beaux Pelini and approve of the hire.

More than likely. Most of them probably don’t even know who he is.

The only people against are morons. I don’t think he was everyone’s FIRST choice but damn he’s great hire.

I like the hire.
A lot.
But Woodard is really liberal with salaries.

I haven’t seen very many actually post more qualified candidates.........

If you just judge the two strictly by the numbers, Pelini’s defenses were ranked much higher than Aranda’s during both of their tenures. Under the circumstances of finding out so late that Aranda was leaving, I think he’s a damn good hire for O.

I just miss the attitude they had out there. They haven’t had that killer attitude since Aranda got here.

I don’t hate the bo hire, I just don’t love it. I’ve been a fan since before Rohan Davy when I was 8

I'm good with the Bo hire. I think many young fans are hung up on Youngstown St and have no memory of his past work here (or at Nebraska for the matter). I think this is a solid, stable, choice. Would be more worried if O wasn't in charge. I really think O will get the most out of this hire!

They are people who think 52 is old and non-stop coaching is being “away from the game” and “out of touch”

Like many here, I am just concerned how we are going to fit under that new coaches salary cap...
