To the 49ers

Wasn't sure if this was posted or not, but I hope he capitalizes on this opportunity and does well there. It's a 1 year deal of course.

It’s a one-year deal for Key, who also met with the team before agreeing to a deal.

Key was a third-round pick by the Raiders and spent three seasons with the team before being released last week. The 49ers were the first team he was linked with after being released.

Key has 49 tackles, three sacks, 26 quarterback hits, and eight tackles for loss in 37 career games. He will likely provide depth behind Nick Bosa, Arik Armstead, and others on the 49ers line.

Not terrible stats. The sacks for sure are terrible though That's one sack/season

I remember an article or tv segment on him when he first got to LSU or immediately before he arrived. IIRC, it was an interview with Arden and his father right before he started at LSU, and how much work they were putting in that summer to get him ready for the SEC. There was footage and everything of them doing dline drills together... then he got to LSU and started blowing up on the field... and then... we all know the rest of the story. I truly hope he can get back to that mindset, he seemed like a good kid with strong family support.

Actually, if he goes from Oakland to San Fransisco, he'll probably stay in the same home?

What a fall from grace. 17 sacks in his first two years on campus and it has all been downhill since. The dude couldn't handle the success.
