The excuses we were given all year were that we shouldn’t expect the defense to play well because the offense scores so fast. Tonight proved that was all bullshite.

You wanted us to succeed so you put down the DC? You say it like Aranda hasn't been calling games well at all this season. Yes there were some poorly called plays by him this year but many of you were blowing it so far out of proportion after Ole Miss. It was fricking ridiculous.

I thought he was calling things too soft until it was time for prevent then bump and run.

I haven’t been a fire Aranda guy, but I’ve been critical of how sloppy and undisciplined the D has been this year. Thankfully they haven’t cost the team, but the issues have kept games close and held the D back from being as good as it could be. However, they showed up tonight and put all that to bed. They were focused, tackled well and played their assignments. The few busts that did happen came when the game was way past over. This was the best game by the defense since last season. Hats off to the staff for getting the details straightened out.
