With all the stories coming out today, including players not wanting to play for him and coaches not wanting to coach for him, anyone think O just calls it a day? Assuming the negotiated buyout doesn’t stipulate he has to coach the next six games, is there any advantage or reason for him sticking around? I can’t imagine it’s going to get any better for him. He’s going to get asked every Monday from here on out about a lot of things he probably doesn’t want to talk about and it could get way uglier.

Kind of a big assumption. They didn’t write the fricking agreement on a cocktail napkin

He’ll probably just laugh and say next question. Which is what he should have been doing all along.

I honestly believe the man when he says he won't blink til the day he dies. I don't see him quitting of his own accord. If things get too toxic, I could see the administration moving early and renegotiating for an earlier departure, but I think both sides will let this play out as currently agreed.

The bigger concern is position coaches and coordinators looking out for themselves (which they should!) and not really doing their best for LSU. Sad collateral damage for a lame duck head coach in place.

Why would he quit if they have an understanding?

Money.

The administration wants as many losses as possible at this point.

No, bc im sure he would violate his buyout contract and be penalized if he did. He will coach it out until the bitter end.

Coach O may be an idiot, but he’s definitely not a bitch. He will finish the season

No, I don't. I've bashed coach a lot recently and I gave him credit during 2019 when he deserved it and he did deserve some of the credit.

I like this situation. I think he's going to fight hard to end this year well. Just my gut, I'm sure ill say the opposite 3 plays into our next game lol

Not if he wants his golden parachute. I’m sure Woodward has made it clear that for the next 6 weeks he better be on the straight and narrow.

He will be there. I guess that pay out had that part in there unless they wanted him out.

Book it that the agreement includes Coach O does certain things right and if not he will not be paid anything! It is a great move for both O and LSU

He is getting paid quite handsomely to coach a few games and then quietly leave. He will coach.
