If Daniels snaps it early it throws the whole timing of that play off

Yes, at first, but then I thought it would throw off JD's timing and read. He showed tremendous patience and poise not making a knee jerk reaction.

Daniels has come so far in a short amount of time. My God what he can be if he comes back next year!

The reason we didnt was because we has TE in motion on the play. With the motion too high of a risk that we get an illegal motion, false start, or end up running the play before we wanted to. If there was no motion then I would be mad at daniels but right decision because we had backfield movement involved in the play call.

I agree with everything that’s been said but keep this in mind; if it works out, LSU scores and wins the game. If it doesn’t, they try again from the one and a half yard line. Just making a counterpoint.

Couldn’t snap…the ball was not marked ready for play until the Bama player ran off the field. Right at start of this video notice how JD5 is looking back at the ref with his hand in the air as the guy is running off. As Bama leaves, ref signals ready for play.

Fair enough.

I was ok with going for two and not getting it. I think this team showed a lot of grit and determination.

Before the play I mentally prepared that we would not convert.

But hot damn that execution was perfect and it all worked out.

Now LSU is in the catbird seat looking to secure a trip to ATL.

This. If he tries to snap it, maybe there are communication issues, we false start and there are off setting penalties. Bama has now seen the play and we are scrambling.

What's crazy about this game is I found myself wanting JD to take off/ run more in certain situations which was a departure from other games where I felt he left the pocket to early.

A few times I was thinking he should run but, he stayed in the pocket and connected down field.

Needless to say, kid's got some talent.

I was saying snap it but looking at the replay of the game it shows exactly what is great about Jayden Daniels and really this team. No panic no rush just run the play as designed. Just do your job and things will work out.
