Will be “processing” this season for a very long time. For better or worse, all to follow will be compared to 2019.

I am still processing Game One and how efficient we were that night and how much different the offense looked (and how quickly that turned around)

I’m definitely in the stages of grieving and still in denial. Missed vandy, ole miss, miss st, and arky but went to every other game home or away. Not ready to accept its over and all the jrs leaving are pissing me off

I’m going to be selfish and say that it‘s almost depressing to see these players moving on to the next level. This teams chemistry was magic. It was an incredible season. I’m more than proud of what this team put together.

Greatest season ever. Just imagine—if not for 21-0, LSU would have the TWO greatest seasons ever lol

I feel the exact same way OP. Went to the game and I’m just so fortunate I got to experience all of that in person. It’s something I’ll never, ever forget. Thank god basketball is going on and baseball is right around the corner. Before you know it, it’ll be the Myles Brennan show

I never thought LSU would put together another team that would top the 2011 team. It was LSU old school football living in the "Defense wins championships" mentality. If the offense could just put a few points on the the board, the defense would do the rest.

After the Alabama win that year, I never worried when the Tigers were behind. The Defense would overcome.

Fast forward nearly a decade. The fact that this year's team was better AND the complete opposite of that 2011 team just amazes me. Just like 2011, after Bama, I was never worried. The offense just got better and better.

I've re-watched the game 5 times and I'm still suffering from a bit of disbelief.

We're already being trash talked about being Auburn 2010 because they tanked the following couple years. Time to start working on next season.

It all still seems like a strange dream -- and I think it's because of how fast and how drastically this team changed.

Just a little over a year ago, I watched LSU slog a game out with UCF in the Fiesta Bowl.

Burrow passed for almost 400 yds and 4 TDs but I remember feeling like it was an anomaly.

Fast forward to this season and it was like a buzzsaw. I kept waiting for the run to end and not only did it not end, the team got better.

We've also all been conditioned to think -- whatever we are prior to November will be reset once we play Alabama.
But not only did we not regress -- we excelled.

At that point, I think we were all in unfamiliar territory.

It just seems so strange and surreal that we not only went 15-0 but that 2019 is now considered the greatest college season of all time.

Just a hair past a year removed from a Fiesta Bowl win over Central Florida.

Me too. I couldnt fully enjoy it because it was so hard to believe. Im thinking after all coaching changes, seniors leaving etc. , we will indeed be back to one and done like everyone is expecting. Back in our place as one post already mentioned. There are only so many "genius" out there.
