They could get hurt walking to class. You can't keep them in a glass case. Life is meant to be lived.

I hope not, but it sure was brutal. Poor kid. That dude should have been prosecuted for being an idiot.

I'm still disturbed by that GIF. I hope the kid was ok.

People can be amazing, we had a guy on our track team take a shot putt to the head, complete recovery...but then again he was a little off before so...

They should have skipped the trip to the Tampa Children's hospital. One of them might have gotten cancer.

I worry every time the team gets on a plane. What if it crashes? It would count in the loss column.

I can't lie. The thought of injury crossed my mind when I saw the pics of last year's Outback Bowl tug of war on the beach.

They can get hurt going down stairs, walking around, driving, etc. They can get hurt lifting weights in summer program, at practice, etc.

Cant keep them locked up in their rooms due to fear of being injured. The ones that matter to the team wont be idiots. They know what to do and what not to do when it comes to the risk of injury and what not.

And yes... you're paranoid.

Is this serious?

It's not like they're drag-racing motorcycles, they're going fricking BOWLING! These are some of the most elite athletes in the world, and you're scared that they'll get hurt bowling???

Sure it could happen, but they have a better chance of getting in a car accident any day of the week, might as well worry about that while you're at it.

You could possibly show how stupid you are by beginning a thread on the Rant so I would recommend not starting any additional threads. Does this pretty much sum up your thoughts? People shouldn't do things they are conditioned for, we want you ready for the bowl game.

You know, Saban took the guys bowling before the 2003 National Title game, but the players weren't allowed to put their fingers in the ball.
