Any good places to eat while I'm up there? Odds we can take this series?

I'll be there. City Grocery, Big Bad Breakfast and Ajax are all good choices for a meal. And I almost always think we can take the series.

The Double Decker Festival is this weekend so there will be about 50,000 people on the Square and the restaurants will be packed on Friday night and all day Saturday. Volta is north of the Square about four blocks and has good food and drinks. Neon Pig, Big Bad Breakfast and Snackbar are across the street from Volta and are all good. On Thursday, Ajax on the Square would be good. The Blind Pig half a block north of the Square is very good and not usually crowded.

Well I live there, so yes. As someone else said, be prepared for the square to be completely packed thanks to Double Decker. There should be plenty of talent walking around if you'd like to take in the view. My brother and his family are heading up for the weekend so we're gonna do a boil. If you want to get away from the craziness, head down to Water Valley just 20 minutes south of Oxford. Trusty Diner is comparable to Ajax.

I’m going to the Saturday game, but I live here so. Don’t plan on eating anywhere close to the square Friday night or Saturday unless you want to fight a few hundred thousand people that are here for double decker.

I work from home and commute back to south LA every couple weeks. I do enjoy drinking in Oxford since there isn't much else to do.

I gotcha. And yea it’s pretty much a drinking/eating out town although some decent bands come to the lyric every now and then.
