Hang out in Eado. Lots of small bars. Truck Yard is a favorite. Walking distance to MM

Jimmy Crane tore down the bars across Minute Maid. There are some new ones popping up on the other side of 59. LSU bar is Lil Woodrow’s on Shepherd, about ten minutes from MMP. Flying Saucer is a solid pub downtown along with Biggio’s

St Arnold’s is less than 5 minutes away from MMp. Great downtown views on the patio. Also The Rustic two blocks from my office on Polk
Pete’s Dueling Piano Bar is a milf magnet downtown next to Discovery Green
Pour Behavior is another option not far from downtown just south of 59. Bar maids are legit OT 8’s -9’s.

With LSU having the legit largest out of state alumni/fanbase in Houston, there are LSU bars everywhere. Bregman effect has been real as well.
I live in the Heights and there are great bars everywhere not far from Minute Maid.
