Napier’s name was thrown around a lot as a replacement for O.
Not sure he was ever really in contention for us but I was glad that he got a shot at a legit sec program with Florida.

At this point, there’s a lot we don’t know but I like what so see so far with Kelly. Meanwhile in Florida there appears to be some disenchantment with some fans and media is jumping on it. Some recruits are deflecting to Miami and that has to sting.

So Granted we haven’t seen the first snap but at this point are any of the Napier advocates changing their opinion?

You'd have to be a fricking idiot, or blood relative of Napier, to prefer him over Brian Kelly.

If every LSU fan was a Culotta fan this dude would've been hired

Honestly, I think Napier would have done fine here. As well as Kelly? Absolutely not. But even Florida fans are expecting too much too soon from him.

I thought Napier was a great candidate, but I also thought there was zero chance of Brian Kelly coming here.

Napier has nowhere near the resume of BK. You’d have to be a massive idiot to pick him over BK on paper alone.

I would wager money his initial support for both was for similar reasons

I always thought LSU could do better than settling for Sun Belt Billy

This, no need to shite on the idea of Napier having success here had he been the guy while still being thrilled with Kelly.

If you would've said that 3 months ago, you'd have 20 dislikes.

I am very happy with our choice but both of their records are 0-0 right now. We will see how Napier does.

Don’t want him over Kelly, but I do think he’s a good coach.

I thought Napier would have been great here. I think BK will be better. I wish Napier had ended up somewhere other than Florida.

The upside to Napier was his age and approach. The downside was also his age, because he is way more likely to be drawn to the NFL than BK, and the fact that he is unproven as a HC in any P5 program.

BK is a proven commodity, very professional, and seemingly unfazed by the magnifying glass that LSU puts you under.

I am glad we have BK for however long that is.

I did too. I’ll tell you what he sounded very impressive yesterday at the SEC conference.
