Personally, I think Nuss injured his knee. Didn’t tear his ACL or do any serious damage, but it’s bad enough that they will withhold him from practice for at least a week.

I'm not sure which is more frustrating: if Nuss really is hurt or that if he is, Kelly and his supporters will use that as an excuse to limp into 2026 with this year being yet another mulligan year. "Oh you really can't blame him for 2025 because Nuss got hurt right before the season started". I can hear it now.

While I understand your frustration, that would be a completely valid and appropriate excuse. You think Clemson would be OK without Klubnik? If any of the top teams lose their QB, playoffs are out of the question. It's just the way it is in the portal era - a really good QB is not going to sit and wait as a backup (unless your name is Arch).
