Really???? Polite golf clap only? You're part of the problem. It might be a problem if some yoyo is standing the entire game but key plays????? GTFO here.

I think it's fair to say that this thread has illustrated that like so many other things in modern society, the stadium is affected by public narcissism.
The whole, "I paid for my tickets so, I'm going to attend and event with 90K+ other people and do whatever the frick I want with no regard to those around me."
And, as a result, many people choose to stay home and watch it on their 70" TV and leave the narcissists to themselves.

I don't know how many people are on this board, or how many of them are kids, but I think you just made an example of your point on yourself in your own post.

News flash you don't effect the outcome of the game no matter how much you think you do. So grow up and at like a civilized mature adult, not some ADD kid on meth.
dude, stay at home, your the exact type of person that just sucks as a fan. If you told me to sit down on a 3rd down because "you can't see", id flip you the bird and tell you to go home. Why should I cater to your wants because you don't want to cheer for the home team? And then you'd probably tell a security rent-a-cop about it and I'm sure even the lame rent-a-cop would tell you the same thing, in more polite terms. Jeeze your a miserable old person. The beauty of Tiger Stadium is that the seats behind you are slightly more elevated than your seats, so stand the frick up and cheer with the other 90,000 or go home and complain some more you miserable old man.

If seated in the row behind you and your standing buddies was a father with his three kids ages 8-12, do you just stand and not give two craps about them? For every big play?
This was my experience the last time I took kids to a game. They basically couldn't see anything at any of the times they might really want to see something.
They hated it.
I went to games as a kid and didn't have the same problem.
So, something changed in the intervening years and it wasn't the stadium. It's the people in it.

I have been to every game since 1999 except for one. Not once has someone told me to sit down

I will say that there are times when LSU is on offense when it is a bet excessive to stand the whole time but, on defense it's kind of just how it is. So yes every third down in a big game, I would expect the standard to be people standing.
For gramps out there I know standing doesn't directly affect the game but, there was a time when LSU was genuinely scary to play at. Opposing players truly had an element of fear. Part of that is because "the crowd is standing and yelling the whole damn time" Players from opposing teams have been quoted about how it could be 2nd and 1 and the crowd is on top of you like its a 3rd and 9. At least thats how the stadium used to be like. Idk what happened maybe its just a generational gap right now.

What? You think us folks pushing 50 don't remember games we attended in say, the 80s but today's 20 year old DO?
Yes. There is clearly a generation gap, but you haven't examined it closely

Great idea. That way everyone is happy. I understand wanting and needing to get rowdy. I also understand being nervous about being your kid to the game. I think everyone would benefit with this idea. Someone tell Aleva.
