7 David Amerson, CB

Sorry tiger fans, but I don't think DBU will have the first drafted next year.

Mock drafts this early are stupid.

Are they just using the same order as this year or are they predicting that the Giants repeat?

5 1st round picks would give us 7 in the past two seasons & 8 over 3 years (Patrick Peterson).
That's also with all 8 leaving early, and 5 of those 8 (Peterson, Mo C, Brock, Reid, & TM7) leaving after 3 years on campus.
That's an absolute sh!t-ton of talent moving through Tiger Stadium folks.
EDIT: I'm also leaving out Loston, Simon & Logan. Logan is set to blow up on the SEC opposite of Freak/Downs/Ego.
Loston could really step up this year if he dedicates himself & stays healthy. But most of all, I think people are doing to Tharold Simon what most folks did to Mo-C coming into last year.
Mo C was a 2nd team All-SEC selection as a True Sophomore year before last. Same as Simon was last year. Peterson had gotten all the pub and all the respect while they threw at Claiborne and he proved himself.
Again, same thing happened last year as people started throwing away from Claiborne, & Simon proved himself.
Simon is a legit 6-2+ & is super quick with great ball skills in the air. He doesn't strike me as being as fluid as Mo, or the athlete that Patrick Peterson was, but Simon's measurables as well as his own athleticism along with a great season could propel him up draft boards as well.
We need a 3rd & 4th CB to really develop next year no matter what, because I think the Draft's going to GUT us next year in the Secondary.

Saints still have their first round pick for 2013. They lost their 2nd round pick.

I agree Simon has the chance to fly up draft boards, but I don't think he was 2nd team (or any team) All-SEC last year.

It'll be interesting to see if Mingo or Montgomery try to add some bulk to show scouts they can be a DE or OLB and not get pegged as just a rush linebacker. I don't know what I'm talking about, but I seem to remember that rush OLB label being why sergio kindle and courtney upshaw went from top 10 locks to 2nd rounders.

Simon will shoot up the boards,I think he's gonna surprise a lot of people this season.
