I saw something I didn't think I would ever see during the second inning of today's game. Skip Bertman and several others were sitting in the third row of the purple seats to the first base side of home plate when a 50ish yo couple comes in and has Skip and his party move to other seats even though there were other seats available close by. I don't know if they didn't know who Skip is or if they dgaf. He has a statue out front, btw.

I don’t care who you are, don’t sit in my seats.

Well then Skip and his party have plenty available seats to move to.

I would be happy to sit near Skip during a game and listen to him discuss baseball for a few hours. I would never ask him to switch seats under the circumstances stated.

Saturday afternoon at The Box would never experience this phenomenon.

It’s time for PM to go.

You just outted yourself as never attending non-conference weekend games. Those games have always had significant numbers of no-shows.

Those seats would fall under the "OT Baller" category. The owners of those seats rub elbows with the TIGER $$$ folks.

There's superstition in baseball. Maybe they like the seats they pay so much for.

Maybe Skip accidentally sat in the wrong seats.

The first time I ever bought a gold ticket, I accidentally sat in someone else's seat. I was happy to move to the correct seat to let the ticket holders have their seats.

I don't care who Skip is/was. If I pay for a seat, I want the option to sit in that seat.

I know I'll get downvotes for this but Skip has money and plenty of it (unless he's spent it all at L'auberge.)

You aren't Skip though. In your own mind, you may feel as important, but you really aren't. I think the main point of this thread was that, it was Skip.

What a bitch. I bet you would have no problem scalping Skip some tickets.

Skip isn’t spending a dime on a ticket or a meal around LSU. I hear that dude is so tight that if you stuck a lump of coal up his arse you would have a diamond in no time.

I remember around 02-03, the student tickets would be issued with a seat number, then for the bigger games they'd sell those same seats to ordinary people who walked up and you'd be expected to just get up and stand somewhere.

Me and my girlfriend had been run out of our seats in the 2nd inning and I was by the concessions all pissed off. Skip walked by and I told him and he told me to follow him. He went in the ticket sales area and asked if that was what was happening. He got irritated when they confirmed and grabbed two tickets out of his pocket and handed them to me and apologized. About 5 rows up behind the plate. Was a pretty cool experience.

Yeah, see, I am not Skip Bertman, so when I settle in to those seats that aren't mine, I will get asked to move, then it is a cluster. Hopefully Skip apologized and moved on.
