Nope. I'm with you msutiger. I do think that JJ has the potential to be the better quarterback another year or two down the though.

Our *%#!ing defense put him in bad spots all year. So who knows how he would have been if our offense wasn't playing from behind every damn game. Thanks Les for our outstanding defense this year

You're not the ONLY one, but in a small minority. LSUfan4444 agrees with you.

I don't think you are alone. Just not many of us. Even though he helped LSU win games this year. Those that think JJ is better have only one thing to answer with and that is the amount of picks for touchdowns let up by the offense.
That is the only thing i see. JJ can run better. He sure did run better and burned time off instead releasing a pass with time running out. That is what I saw.
What I think is JL and JJ can help LSU win games working together. I am not sure if one is better per say than the other, just they both have their talents and we need to make use of them both.
A divided house is weak and we need to be strong.

that thinks JL is better than JJ

Yup

JJ has brought a feel to LSU's offense that probably has not been felt since Rohan Davey stepped in for Josh Booty. The offense responded more to Rohan Davey than it did Booty, and from what I have seen so far our offense seems to respond more with JJ in there than JL. JJ is young and he is certainly going to make mistakes, but so far he seems more of a leader at QB than JL.

The same can be said for JL giving the other team points. It's pretty hard to defend that.

Better arm - JJ
Can run - JJ
KNOWS when to run - JJ
Looked off a safety - JJ

More playing time this year - JL
That's it...

I agree.

JLee's losses in games he started and finshed were to UF, GA, Bama. All have been ranked 1 or 2 at some point this year.

JJ loss was to Ark.

The loss to Bama could have easily been a win. Yes JLee made a couple of mistakes. But the stupid play calls in OT were not on JLee, nor was the dropped touchdown pass or the bobble that gave Bama it's first INT.

Now - yes.

If you had said that before the Arkansas game I might have agreed with you. If you had said it before Ole Miss I definitely would have agreed. But the fact of the matter is that JJ demonstrated he KICKS arse in the Arky game. Too bad our D fricked us.

No, he pressed to make plays because the defense sat on their asses and couldn't stop a gray league offense because our co-coordinators battled back and forth for the opportumity to please LES. JL will be a terific QB given the chance to play on a balanced team.

I think both have the possibility of developing into great quarterbacks- although at this point in time JJ has the upperhand due to the ability to think on the field during gametime. JL has an incredible shotgun of an arm and a release lots of Q-backs would like. However its the way JL sees the field at this time that keeps him down. He only had time to develop against a talented secondary in gametime as our secondary obviously gave him nothing to learn from in practice. Also JL stared at a few gaping holes that he should have run through a few times. JJ has the legs and the ability to fine tune his mechanics for his throws. Mental ability at this point gives him the edge. Lee can conquer it if he works hard though. IMO
