Guys, I need help understanding something.

Watching golic and wingo this morning .jr and Jason Fitz finally quit talking about tennis long enough to talk football.

They interviewed gene chizick because of sec media days starting today.
This man said that Georgia and bama have separated themselves from the rest of the sec and along with Clemson, the rest of the country. He did say lsu would be good though.

Am I missing something with Georgia? They didn't exactly end the season on a good note. They act like there loss to Alabama was the most incredible showing than anybody has from the sec has put on display. They act like a close game with bama makes you an all time great or something.

I know we struggled with bama but damn, we dominated Georgia last year rite? Did that happen or am I living in the twilight zone?

I'm more surprised at the Georgia love then I am dissapointed that we haven't gotten much love, even though we beat them. In other words, I don't need the media to validate my opinion on my team. I know what we've got. The Georgia love though, a little much for me to stomach though.

Chizick did say we were dangerous, Fitz and Jr said that we could pencil in bama and Clemson in the playoff, and that Georgia is gonna be there in the end. I don't see it, what y'all think?

Georgia has Bama on the ropes the last two seasons. Nationally that’s all people look at. Sorry if you don’t agree with it but that’s it. Also Georgia has recruited toe to toe with Bama/Clemson the last couple of years. LSU May be getting to that but that talk won’t happen until after this season if LSU lives up to the preseason expectations.

Also Texas beat Georgia and the Texas hype machine is in full effect so they have to hype up Georgia to keep hyping up Texas.

I do not get the Georgia thing either. We beat them badly. They looked like crap against Texas. The sportswriters have bought into Kirby. UGA has always had great talent. UGA has a great recruiting base. Athens is a great town. Many advantages for UGA. UGA under achieved for a decade under Richt.

LSU has a significant mental block regarding Bama. The media is not over Miles last few years.. no creativity.. talent decline.. Orgeron was an easy target.

LSU has the advantage in almost every position vs Georgia

We are simply a much better team and it showed last year

Seems like they are basing all their predictions on recruiting.

Bama won the West
Ga won the East
Clemson kicked Bamas arse
nothing else matters on the national stage.
it's pre-season, get the knot out of your panties.

Personally I think LSU is right there with UGA but I love the fact that nobody is talking up LSU right now. I want LSU feeling disrespected and flying under the radar.

This season I have a feeling a lot of people will be eating crow come November when it comes to LSU.....Its going to be fun

We didn't get UGA's A game. They got ours.

It comes down to Oline and Dline with us. they didn't look good last year but both should be better this year.

Because LSU is owned by Nick Saban.

Yeah, theres definitely something going on there with the Lsu bama game since that last overtime game.

There beating us worse then they should. Even if there better usually, there not 29-0 better. Something mental, just look at some common opponents,Not all of them, but slot of them are opponents that we both handle relativity easy. More 2017 2016 and some 2018.
The obvious one is Georgia, I mean we blow them out and bama was a qb replacement away from getting blown out by Georgia.

It's mental, has to be.

well we did beat them straight up, but UGA came with a few second of beating Bama in the NC game and the SEC CG. We've been utterly dominated by Bama and haven't even been able to score on them the last few years. Until we put up a serious fight against Bama, we won't be placed in the upper echelon.

And UGA's recruiting has been top 3 the last 3 years.

You can't base your opinion of a team based on a single game. You have to look at a larger sample size to get a better feel for it.

UGA is legit.

I think UGA was already looking past that game when they came in. If they were an every year opponent like Florida, LSU would probably split the series. It wouldn't be a lopsided contest. Seeing how much better they played Bama then LSU shows that they were off the LSU game.

They are legit, but they haven't separated themselves alongside Clemson and Alabama. Hell, they haven't even separated themselves from us,or the rest of sec.

They may be overall a better football program then us, even though we blew them out, that's fine whatever, but they damn sure havent widened the gap like they were saying on ESPN this morning

Where did I say UGA Wasn't Legit? My opinion was based on a single game plus the fact that UGA fell apart in the second half in a loss to BAMA and got beat by Texas... so no now come to think of it they have not even come close to separating themselves from the rest of the SEC

But originally all I said was I like the fact that LSU is being under estimated right now....Nothing more.

We dont even compete against bama anymore, and therefore cant win the west. Not even a prime time game anymore. UGA has looked like the better team against bama in 2 consecutive huge games, despite losing. Most people think it's only a matter of time that they take them over officially.

We destroyed UGA in one game at home. It earned us some respect, but most people think that UGA just had an off game. And their sugar bowl loss, the team was deflated after losing to bama again. I don't fault them for losing to an inferior Texas team.

You cant consider LSU in that top tier until they can win the west. That's the position we are in.

It's the "Saban transitive property" used by the media.

1. Saban is a god in their eyes
2. Kirby is his disciple
3. Kirby is a demi-god

IT'S NOT TRUE BUT IT'S HOW LAZY UNIFORMED NATIONAL SPORTS WRITERS THINK!

I expected A step back from them last year.

They lost a lot from that good 2017 team.

But they’re about to have two insane classes making up 75%+ of their team.

They will be very good next year and I would Be shocked if they aren’t playing in their 3rd SEC championship in a row.

Exact. That would be like people saying Troy is simply a much better team than LSU since they beat us.
