Alleva playing 4-D chess with Orgeron

So now we have a DC making a little less than the HFBC with no indication that there is a raise or extension in the works for the HFBC.
Alleva is mind fricking O. If he’s not happy with the current arrangement, than he is free to resign and get nothing and Aranda gets the head job and the pitch forks are put down by the masses. If he doesn’t resign, Alleva waits out the balance of the contract and then still hires Aranda as HC. There will be no extensions of the O deal. Essentially that is what Alleva has done tonight

You tell me where you have seen a HC at a MAJOR powerhouse wherein there is such a small spread between HC and an assistant’s compensation?
O will not be getting an extension next year when custom dictates you don’t let a HC’s contract get below 4 yrs remaining.

Mathematically you are correct, but this was not some diabolical plan by Alleva.
He paid Aranda what he had too. Simple as that. No reason to over analyze it.

If that were the intentions all along it is masterful. Give aranda 2 years to get ready. All discussed in secret. But we all know that didnt happen. Aranda was our parachute
